International law firm Morgan Lewis & Bockius said it has named Jeffrey S. MacDonald managing partner of its new Hartford office at One State Street.
Morgan Lewis made its first foray into Hartford in November, when it acquired Bingham McCutchen, including the Hartford office and the more than 20 attorneys based there.
MacDonald joined Bingham as a partner in 2012, focusing on corporate transactions in the insurance and financial services industries.
He earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
MacDonald previously worked for New York-based Dewey & LeBoeuf, a global firm that had more than 1,000 attorneys when it filed for bankruptcy several months after MacDonald departed.
