The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, owner and operator of Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, posted net income of $255 million, a 3.8 percent increase over the first quarter of fiscal 2015, which saw net income of $245.7 million.
Revenues were up for most aspects of the authority, according to a statement. It said the first quarter of fiscal year 2016 saw:
- Gaming revenues of $292.4 million, a 5.3 percent increase over the first quarter of fiscal 2015;
- Gross slot revenues of $197.5 million, relatively flat year over year;
- Table game revenues of $93.3 million, an 18.2 percent increase over the first quarter of fiscal 2015; and,
- Non-gaming revenues of $64.8 million, a 2.6 percent increase year over year.
Increased table game revenues were driven in part by greater efforts directed at the high-end table game segment. These results were partially offset by increased promotional expenses related to the high-end table game segment and a slight decline in slot revenues.
