Uncasville’s Mohegan Sun casino is expected to unveil the details of its host community agreement with the Western Massachusetts community of Palmer, where it wants to build a nearly $1 billion resort casino, the Associated Press reports.
It will be up to Palmer voters later this year to approve or turn down the agreement, the AP said.
Casino operators have inked similar agreements with several Massachusetts communities, though Foxwoods remains one of the few left to reach terms with the town of Milford.
