Through a recently inked partnership with an air travel marketing company, Mohegan Sun said it’s hoping to fly patrons to its Uncasville casino by helicopter from New York City.
The service launches Friday from Fly Blade Inc.’s Manhattan terminal. Mohegan plans to arrange one-way trips every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with pricing starting at $625 per seat.
Members of Mohegan’s players club, Momentum, will be able to pay for flights using their player points.
There will also be round trip packages organized around concerts, events and other promotions.
The first round-trip will be built around Linkin Park’s Jan. 30 concert at the casino, Mohegan said.
“Never before has a traveler been able to leave New York City – fly to Mohegan, enjoy a world class show, have a terrific dining experience, play in the casino and be back home in NYC by midnight,” Evan Licht, Blade’s general manager, said in a statement.
