Mohegan Sun says it inked a deal with global gambling-systems giant Bally Technologies for an interactive setup that will allow users to play online poker – for free at first — at its Connecticut and Pennsylvania casinos.
Officials said Bally’s iGaming platform is being installed as a prelude to both states permitting online wagering.
Mohegan Sun casinos are in the Uncasville section of Montville, and Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
The casino said it chose Bally after a six-month review. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
“… We believe iGaming is the next step in fulfilling the demand for regulated online play when customers aren’t able to be on [the] property,’’ said Mitchell Etess, CEO for the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, the casinos’ owner.
