Mohegan Sun said it has chosen a location in the neighboring New London County community of Waterford for its first Smashburger location.
Mohegan announced in June that it had partnered with the Colorado-based restaurant chain to open 16 locations in southern New England.
The Waterford restaurant will be located in a 2,500-square-foot building at Waterford Commons on Route 85. The restaurant, which will employ between 30 and 40 people, is slated for an early December opening.
Mohegan also announced this week that a fondue restaurant called Sticks & Stones will open late this year in its Casino of the Sky.
