Mixing creativity with cocktails at CT Post Mall

A retail business that combines painting (as in art — not painting your house) with food and beverage service opens this week in Milford’s Connecticut Post Mall.

Muse Paintbar held a ribbon-cutting ceremony last Thursday to mark the opening of the company’s 31st studio location. The company opened its first store, in Manchester, N.H., in 2012.

“We are so excited to open our 31st studio location in Milford,” said Anne Rankin, senior regional training manager for Muse’sTri-State Region. “We are expecting great attendance here at the Post Mall, and we can’t wait to share the Muse experience with the community.”

Muse Paintbar officially opens its doors to the public this Thursday (June 13). It offers painting lessons for adults and children, with classes starting at $15. While they’re learning and making art, the painters are invited to patronize Muse’s restaurant and bar. Classes are held daily and Muse also offers “Family Day” sessions weekly.

Muse Paintbar’s other Connecticut locations are in South Norwalk, West Hartford and Glastonbury.

“Art is for everybody,” said Rankin. “And we want to allow people to tap into that side of their brain, relax, have a glass of wine, and share a great time with the people they care about.”
