A Missouri fence-installation franchise will open its first location east of the Mississippi River on Monday in Ridgefield.
Guier Fence has eight locations in Texas, Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and Kansas but has not ventured toward the East Coast since the company was founded in 1979.
The Ridgefield location will serve the southern half of Connecticut and Westchester County in New York, said Lea Bailes, Guier president and CEO.
The company specializes in installing residential fences.
