The Miss America Organization has committed to holding its annual competition at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville for the next three years.
The pageant, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary later this year, previously selected Mohegan Sun as the host of its 2019 ceremony. The 2020 event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Camille Schrier of Virginia, the 2019 winner, remains the reigning Miss America.
Organizers said this year’s competition will be broadcast live in December. An exact date was not announced.
In addition to the event’s finale, which features the crowning of a new Miss America, preliminary competitions and other related events will take place at Mohegan Sun’s Earth Expo & Convention Center.
