The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s regulatory conference to discuss whether more oversight is needed at nuclear Millstone Power Station in Waterford has been posted to July 19.
The conference at the NRC’s regional office in King of Prussa, Pa. was scheduled for Thursday.
The subject of conference is to determine whether NRC needs to provide more oversight at Millstone after a Feb. 2 incident where the energy output by one of the two reactors increased 8 percent due to personnel failing to carry out their assigned roles.
The delay in the conference gives Millstone owner Dominion additional time to prepare for the conference.
