MILLION DOLLAR GIFT

Hartford business executive Curtis Robinson presented a check for $1 million to officials of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in support of the Men’s Health Institute at Saint Francis. The Men’s Health Institute will address the prevalence and disparities of prostate cancer, particularly among African-American men. It will develop a community outreach program to engage more than 30 faith-based and community organizations serving African-American populations. It will offer free, on-site educational programs, testing to detect prostate cancer in its earliest and most treatable stages, and appropriate surgery if required for individuals who are uninsured or underinsured. Dadlez, president and chief executive officer.
