Texas-based Vistra Energy said this week it has agreed to pay $1.7 billion to acquire Dynegy, a Texas company that owns power plants in Dayville and Milford.
Dynegy, based in Houston, acquired the 856-megawatt Lake Road plant in Dayville and the 579-megawatt Milford Energy Facility in 2015 as part of a $3.45 billion deal with Energy Capital Partners.
Dynegy has gas, oil and coal plants in 12 states, with a total generating capacity of 27,000 megawatts.
