Milford, Branford mixed-use properties among recent sales

Four large commercial and residential properties, including locations in Milford and Branford, recently sold in multimillion-dollar deals.

The Shelton-based Northeast Private Client Group’s Metro-North Investment Sales Team closed on the deals, which sold for a combined $16.5 million and included three mixed-use and one multifamily property around Connecticut.

The team includes Brad Balletto, Rich Edwards, Jeff Wright, Bob Paterno and John Lockhart.

In Milford, a 70,506-square-foot mixed-use building at 670-680 Boston Post Rd. sold for $6.05 million. Built in 2000, the site includes 10 first-floor commercial suites and 32 residential apartments.

In Branford, property at 17-29 South Main St., known as the Branford Theatre Building, sold for $4.7 million. The 33,614-square-foot, mixed-use building has 20 residential units and nine commercial spaces.

“We have seen a real demand for ‘downtown suburban’ apartment and retail properties recently,” said Wright, a senior associate. “Many renters choose to live in towns like Branford that offer them convenient access to shops and restaurants while remaining easily accessible to transportation and nearby cities.”

The firm was also involved in the recent $4.75 million sale of mixed use property at 1-7 Big Shop Lane, Ridgefield, which has 10-commercial suites and four residential units.

In its fourth recent deal, the firm handled the sale of a 16-unit condo portfolio in Greenview Estates, at 10 Agney Ave., Terryville, for $1.08 million.
