Milford’s Planning and Zoning Board on March 17 unanimously approved a special permit for a 64-unit apartment complex at 801 Boston Post Road.
Metro 801 LLC, controlled by Milford-based developer Robert Smith, plans to construct two three-story residential buildings on the site.
The development will include a mix of efficiencies, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units across two buildings totaling more than 60,000 square feet.
Plans call for 76 parking spaces, including eight electric vehicle charging stations, exceeding the 70 spaces required under zoning regulations.
A traffic study found the project would not significantly impact traffic conditions on nearby roads, including Boston Post Road and Orange Avenue.
The development will be accessed by two driveways, and is expected to open around 2027, according to project documents.
