A Gulf Street property in Milford, home to a family business for the past 50 years, has been sold to a local fencing company for $475,000 in a deal recorded Oct. 3.
The 4,380-square-foot building at 101 Gulf St., built in 1880, contains industrial and office space on 0.35 acres.
It was the home of the J.P. Salmini Company, a family-owned and operated air conditioning contractor, for the past 50 years. The company itself dates back more than 70 years.
The seller, 101 Gulf Street LLC., and principals Greg Salmini Sr. and Judith Falk, were represented by Pearce Real Estate Senior Commercial Specialist John Bergin and attorney Paul Otzel of Barton Gilman law firm in Milford.Â
The buyer is Milford-based Discount Fence of CT LLC., which specializes in residential and commercial fencing. Principals for Discount Fence are Mark and Melissa Pucci of Milford.
Discount Fence was represented by Scott Zakos of Vidal Wettenstein, LLC., of Westport, and Attorney Thomas Lynch of the law firm Lynch, Trembicki and Boynton, also of Milford.
The property has a total appraised value of more than $411,000.Â
