Middletown’s Charles IT buys Stamford data service provider NST Systems

Charles IT, a Middletown cybersecurity and compliance firm, bought NST Systems Inc. of Stamford to expand its offerings statewide and into New York, the company announced Wednesday.

Charles IT works with clients in highly regulated industries on IT disaster recovery, cloud services and cybersecurity compliance in the health, defense and government sectors. Its clients include companies in healthcare, manufacturing, government, nonprofit and financial services.

NST Systems, a 27-year-old company, offers IT consulting and managed IT services and specializes in data loss prevention, disaster backup and recovery, 24/7 monitoring, and live support for small and mid-size businesses.

Charles IT was founded in 2006 and is currently headquartered at 150 William St. in Middletown.
