A building hosting a cannabis retailer off Route 66 in Middletown recently sold for $1.95 million.
In a deed recorded July 2, a limited liability company associated with Clifton, New Jersey-based real estate investor Arctrust sold the 1,840-square-foot, one-story building on a half-acre at 895 Washington St., to an LLC headed by Abdo Alsaidi. In state business records, the buyer lists its address at a law practice in Melville, New York.
The 1068-vintage, brick veneer building, formerly a Bank of America branch, currently hosts cannabis dispensary Venu Flower Collective. Attempts to reach a representative of the retailer were not immediately successful Tuesday morning.
Robert Horvath, Todd R. Tremblay and Matthew Nadler of Horvath & Tremblay listed the property and secured the buyer.
The transaction leaves Venu with a new landlord, but will not otherwise impact operation of the retail location, Horvath confirmed.
