The City of Middletown extended its commitment to energy efficiency signups until the end of the year, continuing a campaign encouraging residents to seek out efficiency providers.
The campaign focuses on the Home Energy Solutions program provided by the state’s utilities, where efficiency providers come into residents at a discounted rate to make upgrades like better lighting and sealing.
For every resident that signs up for HES, the efficiency providers will donate $25 to the Middletown Tree Planting Fund.
The city will host a presentation on the campaign at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Russell Library at 123 Broad St.
