Middlesex Health has purchased Middlesex Urology, a four-person practice already integrated with the Middletown system.
Now operating as Middlesex Health Urology, the practice will maintain its offices in Middletown, Essex, Marlborough, Madison and Guilford with providers Dr. Richard Frink, Dr. Edward Myer, Dr. Tim Siegrist and Dr. Dana Kivlin.
“This is the merging of two entities who already work well together,” Middlesex Health President and CEO Vincent G. Capece, Jr. said.
Capece said earlier this year that surgical volumes at Middlesex Health had fully rebounded from pandemic lows. The health system received approximately $32 million in stimulus aid, allowing it to partially offset an estimated $50-million deficit for the year due to the pandemic.
