Personal computer programming giant Microsoft has chosen Westfarms regional shopping center to host one of its 34 seasonal pop-up retail stores in North America to market its PC-related merchandise this holiday season, authorities say.
The store opens Friday stocking, among other products, its new Microsoft Surface tablet and Windows 8 software – both making their international debuts that day, Microsoft said Thursday.
Westfarms straddles the Farmington and West Hartford town lines.
