The Microscopy Society of America’s annual conference this week in Hartford will have a $4.5 million economic impact on the region, according to the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau, which helped coordinate hotel bookings.
Attendees of Microscopy & Microanalysis 2014, which runs through Aug. 7, are staying at 14 area hotels, CCSB said.
The conference, held at the Connecticut Convention Center, will feature 120 exhibitors showing high-tech microscopes and other equipment used for imaging and surface analysis.
