Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel coming to Hartford in new exhibit

An exhibit replicating Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel is coming to Hartford next month.

Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition, is set to open at the Connecticut Convention Center on Friday, May 6. Per the organizers, the exhibit is a “museum-quality, near life-size reproduction” of Michelangelo’s famous ceiling fresco-style mural paintings on the ceiling of the Roman chapel.

There will be 34 reproductions on display, including pieces like The Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment. Guests can add an audio guide available in multiple languages to include Spanish, French, Chinese, Korean and German while they tour the exhibit.

The exhibition will be at the convention center from May 6 to June 26. Tickets start at $22.20 for adults and $17.40 for youth. Discounts for seniors, students, military and family bundles are available, as are private and corporate events for the exhibit.
