A Miami-based risk management insurer says it’s acquired an Avon insurer with product lines in property and casualty, account management, fidelity and surety.
Global Risk Solutions Inc. (GRS) on Monday announced it acquired William Kramer & Associates (WKA), which specializes in large and complex claims and litigation management often involving third-party losses, for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 1996 by Bill Kramer, officials say adjusters at the Avon firm have experience in a variety of industries, including oil and gas, energy, mining, manufacturing and real estate.
As part of GRS, William Kramer in a statement said his firm would be better positioned to offer smaller property and casualty claim services as well as environmental risk management services.
WKA also has an existing presence in New Port Richey, Fla., nearly five hours northwest of GRS’ Miami office. The Avon-based firm also has locations in New Jersey, Missouri and Puerto Rico.
“With WKA joining our complex claims solutions business unit, we have a much greater presence in global markets, a brand name in that space, and deep expertise,” said Arthur “Kip” Radigan, CEO and president of GRS. “We are continuing to enhance our ability to handle the largest industrial claims in the U.S. and other parts of the world, complementing also our environmental risk management solutions group.”
