MGM is opening a downtown career center in Springfield, Mass., on Monday to hire employees ahead of its planned fall 2018 debut.
The center at 1259 East Columbus Ave. will be the spot where MGM executives interview and hire new employees. Activities at the center will cover targeted outreach sessions, interviews, licensing, and training, the casino said.
The MGM Springfield resort casino is expected to compete with Connecticut tribal casinos in Uncasville and Mashantucket for patrons and slot revenue.
