Insurer MetLife Inc., with major Bloomfield operations, is carving itself into three regional business organizations to reflect its broader global operating scope.
The reorganization, stemming from its $16.4 billion acquisition of Alico, creates the Americas, EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), and Asia, the New York insurance and financial services vendor said Tuesday.
Each will have its own president: William J. Wheeler for Americas; and Michel Khalaf for EMEA. A search is underway for the Asia chief.
Meantime, MetLife is also searching for a new chief financial officer. Executive Vice President Eric Steigerwalt is interim CFO.
