Meriden engineering-environmental-architecture firm BL Companies Inc. is now fully owned by its employees, authorities say.
CEO Carolyn N. Stanworth announced that at the close of last year its nine stockholders sold their 20 percent stake to an employee stock ownership plan for BL’s workers.
Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
“Our employee owners have the chance to be financially successful based on their hard work, performance and that of their colleagues,” Stanworth said in a statement.
