Meriden’s BL Companies has expanded its downtown Hartford office footprint to accommodate swelling municipal demand for its architecture-engineering-land surveyor services, authorities say.
BL CEO Carolyn Stanworth says its enlarged office space at 150 Trumbull St. is part of its overall growth strategy and now accommodates more than 40 employees.
BL does work for the city and various state agencies and institutions, among them transportation and construction services, and UConn, and for various private businesses in the Greater Hartford region.
BL also recently established a Worcester, Mass., office and has expanded in New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio, to pursue work there, Stanworth said.
