Tuxis-Ohr Fuel of Meriden has taken over delivery of home heating oil to customers of embattled C.F. Oil Co. Inc. of New Britain, authorities say.
Tuxis-Ohr hopes to honor C.F.’s pre-paid oil contracts, Attorney General George Jepsen said Monday.
C.F. has been under investigation by the state Department of Consumer Protection for possible misconduct involving pre-paid home heating oil contracts.
Jepsen said state authorities continue to closely monitor the situation. He also advised customers to retain copies of all records with C.F. Oil.
