Planet Home Lending, a Meriden-based national lender and servicer, recently announced two promotions among its ranks.
Jodi Bailey was promoted to senior vice president, total rewards, and Terry Mitchell is now senior vice president, human resources.

Ben Hughes, the company’s executive vice president and chief human resources officer, said the company has seen growth in origination volume and its servicing portfolio, and continues to expand.
“Jodi and Terry have successful track records for attracting and engaging top talent,” Hughes said.
Bailey will oversee the company’s total rewards and payroll departments, and will provide insight into its compensation and benefits strategies. Mitchell will direct the human resources business partner team with a goal of driving employee engagement, satisfaction and retention.

Fairfield University announces leadership changes
Fairfield University has picked three new leaders who will work to strengthen spiritual life campus-wide.
Rev. Gerry Blaszczak will be the new assistant to the president and alumni chaplain. Rev. Paul Rourke will assume the post of vice president for mission and ministry; and Rev. Keith A. Maczkiewicz will be the new director of campus ministry and university chaplain.
They will start in their new roles on July 1.
Blaszczak currently serves as vice president for mission and ministry.
President Mark R. Nemec said Blaszczak has “tirelessly” reached out to alumni, faculty and staff in both their hours of need and celebration.
“His new role will allow him to continue and expand this work, and I am deeply grateful that he has agreed to serve in this capacity,” Nemec said.
Rourke is currently the director of campus ministry. In his new role, he will oversee campus ministry, the Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality, and other dimensions of spiritual life on campus, and he will serve as a member of the university’s senior leadership team.
Maczkiewicz most recently served as assistant chaplain at the College of the Holy Cross.

BioXcel welcomes new member to board of directors
BioXcel Therapeutics Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company which uses artificial intelligence to develop new treatments, has added June Bray to its board of directors.
Bray most recently served as senior vice president, global regulatory affairs and medical writing at Allergan.
CEO Vimal Mehta said Bray has a “proven track record” in leading successful regulatory activities for products in various therapeutic areas.
“Her demonstrated achievements, which include 32 new drug approvals (NDAs) in the U.S., will provide invaluable insight as we look to submit our first NDA later this month and transition to becoming a commercial neuroscience-focused organization,” Mehta said.
Bray said she is excited to join the board as BioXcel prepares to transition to a commercial stage organization, and she looks forward to helping it bring treatments to patients.
“I truly believe BioXcel’s strong neuroscience program has the potential to change the way patients struggling with agitation are treated across various settings, ranging from hospitals to at-home care,” she said.

Law firm announces staffing changes
The law firm of Baillie & Hershman, which has offices in Connecticut and Massachusetts, recently announced attorney Christina M. Lopes has a new role there.
Lopes, who works in the firm’s Cheshire office, will be focusing on real estate law and estate planning. Lopes was a real estate paralegal for over five years with the firm before she joined it as an attorney.
Also, attorney Tamara L. Peterson has joined the firm. She will be based out of its Fairfield office, and she will focus on residential real estate law. Previously, Peterson worked for a Massachusetts firm and had her own practice.
