Meriden’s Stay Fresh Foods said it has opened its second high-pressure processing center.
The 66,000-square-foot New Jersey facility will cold pasteurize packaged foods for various customers, which gives the food a longer shelf life.
Stay Fresh’s first so-called HPP tolling center is located in Meriden, and was recently expanded.
Stay Fresh said it chose Pennsauken, N.J., because of its access to New York City, Philadelphia and Washington markets.
