A 71-unit apartment complex in Meriden that has fallen into foreclosure is going on the auction block later this month.
Huntington Place, located at 32 Cook Ave., will be auctioned July 29 by Max Spann Real Estate & Auction Co. The auction will take place at 1 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott on Marsh Road in Orange.
VNB New York Group, an arm of Valley National Bank in Wayne, N.J., won a foreclosure proceeding last year against former owner 32 Cook LLC, which owed $3.1 million, according to court records.
Valley National’s website lists the property for sale at $2.48 million. It is assessed at $1.99 million and appraised at $2.8 million, according to Meriden’s assessor website. A prior owner paid $3.4 million for the property in 2007.
Max Spann will host property previews from 10 a.m. to noon on July 9, July 17 and July 22.
