A 71-unit apartment complex in Meriden has sold at a bank-ordered auction for $2.1 million to an undisclosed buyer, according to auctioneer Max Spann Real Estate & Auction Co.
The sale of Huntington Place was not yet on file with the Meriden assessor on Tuesday morning.
The seller is SAR I Inc., an arm of New Jersey’s Valley National Bank, which won a foreclosure proceeding last year against the former owner, who owed $3.1 million, according to court records.
The 61,200-square-foot complex at 32 Cook Ave. was most recently assessed at just under $2 million. Max Spann said 12 bidders attended the July 29 auction.
