Meredith Corp., an Iowa company that owns CBS affiliates WFSB in Rocky Hill and WSHM in Springfield, Mass., said it’s reached a deal to buy three stations.
Meredith, which owns 13 stations across the country, plans to purchase the broadcast assets of KMOV in St. Louis, Mo., and KTVK and KASW in Phoenix, Ariz., from Gannett Co. and Sander Media, respectively, for $407.5 million in cash.
If the transactions receive the necessary regulatory approvals, the deal would close in the first half of 2014.
The transactions are expected to close during the first half of calendar year 2014, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
