Richard Graziano has spent the past four years running Tribune Co.’s Fox 61 and WTXX television stations. This week, he was named publisher of another Tribune property, The Hartford Courant.
Graziano’s task will be to oversee a combined Channel 61 and Courant newsroom, about a month after the newspaper slashed its news staff for a second time this year.
Graziano has overseen Tribune’s Hartford television stations since 2005, and last July was promoted to senior vice president/general manager, assuming additional oversight responsibility for the company’s stations in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. He replaced Steve Carver, who served as the Courant’s publisher since November 2006.
