The Metropolitan District Commission will start construction Sept. 17 on the West Hartford Reservoir dam rehabilitation project.
MDC and its contractor – E.T. & L. Corp., of Wilmington, Mass. – are improving the reservoir No. 2 dam and dikes. The reservoir will be lowered so the changes can be made.
The construction will cause part of the trails through the reservoir to close. Work will be complete in 2014.
