The Metropolitan District Commission and its contractors, BCI Inc. and Paramount Construction LLC, will begin road reconstruction projects Monday at the West Hartford Reservoir water treatment plant, 1420 Farmington Ave.
The first two areas under construction are located along the southeast section of the road known as the Red Loop and the short cul-de-sac road across from MDC’s administration building.
It is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete each area, MDC said.
The cul-de-sac road across from the main building will be closed during construction. Construction on the Red Loop is expected to begin on June 16 and the paved area of the southeast section will be closed.
The second area under construction is located on the main road near the main building, beginning at the north end of the entrance road bridge and extending beyond the security gate into the treatment facility.
Work will begin in late August and take about eight weeks.
