Retired Suffield town clerk Dorothy K. McCarty has stepped off the boards of Enfield lender New England Bancshares and its lead bank, a regulatory filing shows.
McCarty, 80, resigned her seats at the bank holding company and at New England Bank, effective Tuesday, according to the parent’s 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
She had been a director of the parent since 2002 and on the board of New England Bank since 1990, according to Forbes.com.
McCarty is the second director to quit in the past 12 months. Last March, Edmund D. Donovan of Enfield relinquished his board seat.
The bank could not be immediately reached Thursday for comment.
