• TD Banknorth in New Britain delivered 160 boxes of nonperishable food items to food pantries within the state. The bank’s charitable foundation also donated $10,000 to Foodshare and the Connecticut Food Bank.
• MidState Medical Center’s cardiodiagnostics team was accredited by the Intersocial Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories. The team was recognized for commitment to quality diagnostic testing for the detection of heart disease.
• The West Hartford Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 100th year as an organization. The chamber has been assisting businesses within the community since 1908.
• The Lincoln Financial Foundation donated $40,000 to Foodshare, $10,000 to Loaves & Fishes, and $15,000 to Hands On Hartford. Other grants include $35,000 to the Easter Seals Greater Hartford Rehabilitation Center and $35,000 to the Hartford area Habitat for Humanity.
