Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford named Scheuster E. Christie chief of general surgery. Christie was most recently in private surgery practice at the hospital.

Scott A. Andrusis was promoted to senior vice president of commercial banking at Rockville Bank in Vernon. Andrusis was previously vice president of commercial banking.

Donald Wills was appointed to the Connecticut Historic Preservation Council. Before retiring, Wills was production development technician at Pratt & Whitney.

Mintz & Hoke Communications Group in Avon hired Manny Rodriquez as art director. Rodriquez was formerly associate creative director at The Guild Group.

Dr. Rolf W. Knoll, senior vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer at Saint Francis Hospital, was elected to the board of trustees at The Children’s Museum in West Hartford.

Victor J. Rush was appointed business development and sales manager at TD Banknorth in West Hartford. Prior to this position, Rush was senior branch manager at Fleet Bank.

Robert Piorkowski, surgical oncologist at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, was appointed national member of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Ramon Jimenez, also surgical oncologist at Hartford Hospital, was named state chair of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Liaison Commission program.

The Real Estate Exchange elected Diana MacPherson president. MacPherson is commercial real estate attorney at Robinson & Cole in Hartford.
