• Visual Concepts Media in Windsor won a Gold Addy award for the production of a consumer Web site for Spalding Sports and a Silver Addy award for a Web site created for Peter Pan Bus Lines. The awards were presented from the American Advertising Federation.
• Kristin Muschett, president and CEO of Habco Inc. in Glastonbury, received a Women of Innovation award from the Connecticut Technology Council for the small business innovation and leadership category.
• Colleagues from Marsh Inc. in Hartford volunteer at the Friendship Center every month by serving hot breakfast to 200 Mercy Housing & Shelter clients. Involvement includes purchasing the groceries, delivering them to the facility, cooking and serving. Marsh has been involved with the shelter for four years.
• SmartPower in Hartford received three Gold Awards from the 5th annual Service Industry Advertising Award committee in the categories of video, radio and print advertising.
