A new mattress retail shop is coming to the Boston Post Road in Orange.
Metro Mattress has leased a 5,250-square-foot building at 507 Boston Post Road, Route 1, adding to its network of more than 50 showrooms and warehouses in five Northeast states, including Connecticut and Massachusetts.
The company signed a 10-year lease, the financial terms of which were not disclosed.
Carl G. Russell was the broker for the landlord, New Post Properties LLC of Woodbridge. Metro was represented by Richard Weiss and Richard Kaye of Julius M. Feinblum Real Estate Inc., of Plainview, New York.
Russell said the company is aiming for a Sept. 1 opening.
The Amore Carpet and Flooring Covering company was previously located in the building, before consolidating into its other West Haven location.
The building had been vacant for roughly six months.
Metro Mattress was founded in 1978 in New York, and the Orange location will be the company’s eighth retail store in the state.
