MassMutual, which has an Enfield campus, has expanded its corporate presence into the Southwest for the first time in its history.
The company officially opened its 60,000-square-foot office in Phoenix on Wednesday.
The company is leveraging the Arizona team it picked up in an acquisition from The Hartford in January. The Hartford had 70 Phoenix employees, and MassMutual said it intends to employ an addition 370 there by 2014.
Jobs will include customer service, sales, operations, underwriting, claims, and technology positions.

MassMutual was already selling policies in the state through its MassMutual Arizona business in Scottsdale.
