Greenwood Industries, a commercial roofing contractor based in Worcester, has acquired Allied Restoration Corp. of East Hartford expanding its total workforce by 10 percent.
The acquisition, which closed on Aug. 1, will support Greenwood’s growing sheet metal manufacturing, roof system construction and replacement business, as well as the roof maintenance businesses now operating from Worcester and Freetown, Massachusetts, as well as North Haven, the firm said.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
With both teams, the addition of the East Hartford location and the collective experience across New England, the firm increased the number of trained, certified roofing professionals that it offers to the marketplace by 10 percent, the company said.
Greenwood President, David Klein, a fourth-generation roofer who founded the company in 1992, welcomed the deal.
“We are executing a clear strategy to gain strength and capabilities as we bring Allied’s people and pipeline into our operating model,” Klein said in a statement. “Allied has talent, relationships and the geographic location that fills a gap between our Massachusetts and New Haven locations.”
