Newman Properties has purchased a 6,350-square-foot retail building at 15 Hazard Ave. in Enfield for $3.65 million, expanding the firm’s commercial portfolio into Connecticut.
Newman Properties partnered with Atlantic Capital Investment Commercial Real Estate, both based in Brookline, Massachusetts, to acquire the property, which is occupied by national casual-dining restaurant chain Red Robin and sits as a pad site to Enfield Commons shopping center.
The sale was recorded Monday, according to a land record.
The seller was Lakewood, New Jersey-based Paramount Realty, which owns the 22,800-square-foot Enfield Commons.
Lynnfield, Massachusetts-based commercial real estate agency Horvath & Tremblay brokered the deal.
Newman Properties and its affiliates own and manage more than 750 residential units and multiple commercial and retail properties across the Boston area and Massachusetts’ South Shore and North Shore. The firm reports having bought and sold more than $500 million in property, and the Enfield deal marks its first acquisition in Connecticut.
