A penny slot machine at Mohegan Sun resort casino in Uncasville paid out a $1.4 million jackpot on Monday to a player from Holyoke, Mass.
The casino says Gabriel Brin-Martin hit the progressive jackpot on the Star Wars-themed penny slot machine on Monday at its Casino of the Sky. Her winnings from that one play totaled $1,427,870, Mohegan Sun said.
Mohegan has used that specific slot machine since October 2005. The resort has 6,400 slot machines throughout its property.
Brin-Martin’s win was the third big win at Mohegan in the past two weeks, the casino said.
On March 28, a guest won $1.7 million on a Bombs Away-themed penny slot machine; and on March 30, another guest won $50,000 on a Triple Diamond. Both those guests asked to remain anonymous.
In February, Mohegan says it handled a total of $716.3 million in slot play, producing $58 million in slot revenue for the casino.
