A Massachusetts-based environmental services and remediation firm has opened an office in Stratford as part of a strategy to expand its presence in southern New England.
Boston Green Co. has established a 5,600-square-foot location at 87 Stagg St. in Stratford — its fourth in New England — joining offices in Lakeville, Mass., Hooksett, N.H., and South Portland, Maine.
“Stratford offers strategic proximity to major transportation corridors and client hubs across southern New England, enabling faster deployment for 24-7 emergency spill response and environmental services,” spokeswoman Heather Wendt told the Hartford Business Journal. “The location strengthens our East Coast network and supports our focus on agility, responsiveness and localized expertise.”
The Stratford office, which will start with six employees and eventually grow to about 10, is part of the company’s broader plan to expand its remediation and environmental service operations along the East Coast, said President Adam Dennison.
The Connecticut office will be led by newly appointed General Manager Geoff Parker. The company signed a three-year lease for the space with options to extend.
Wendt said Boston Green is also considering additional Connecticut locations, depending on client demand. A fifth office is planned in eastern Pennsylvania next year.
Founded in 2007, Boston Green Co. provides hazardous waste transportation and disposal, site remediation and other environmental services for industrial clients across New England and New Hampshire.
