High Limb Cider, an artisanal hard cider company based in Massachusetts, said Tuesday it has expanded into Connecticut.
The cider brand, already distributed in more than 1,000 retail locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, is now available in more than 170 retail locations in Connecticut through a partnership with Wallingford-based G&G Beverage Distributors.
Terms of the deal with G&G were not disclosed.
According to a list provided by the company, High Limb Cider is now available from 136 retailers and an undisclosed number of restaurants in more than 65 Connecticut municipalities in each state county except New London County.
Founded in 2014 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, High Limb says it makes unfiltered cider from fresh-pressed New England apples, without concentrates or artificial ingredients, using a cold-fermentation process designed to preserve the fruit’s natural flavor.
Its 13 varieties of cider offer alcohol content ranging from 4.5% to 8% alcohol by volume, according to its website.
CEO Colin Geoffroy called expanding into Connecticut “an important milestone” in the company’s regional growth strategy.
