Staff from the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center recently performed their 100,000th cardiac catheterization. Joining in the celebration were Dr. Robert Jeresaty, (front row left), who performed St. Francis’ first cardiac catheterization in 1959, and Dr. Joseph Sappington, (front row center), who performed the 100,000th case. The staff at St. Francis performs about 4,000 cardiac catheterizations a year, making the hospital the busiest cardiac catheterization program in Connecticut.
