‘I take things day by day and I always remain focused, balanced and humble.’
What do you do?
As a member of the University of Connecticut Women’s basketball team that won three Division I National Championships, I learned many lessons about the importance of focus, commitment, character, teamwork and accountability. As an agency sales director, I lead a highly productive team of financial services representatives dedicated to serving the investment and protection needs of individuals and corporations. I support my advisors by showcasing the broad and deep capabilities of Barnum Financial Group and enable them to achieve their goals and strengthen their businesses.
Where do you want to be in 10 years?
In 10 years I hope to still be running a highly successful organization of advisors, and in my free time I plan to coach my daughter Layla’s basketball team.
How are you involved in your community?
I have a deep commitment to my community and I volunteer for a number of charitable organizations. I am the president and founder of the Maria Conlon Humanitarian Donor Advised Fund at the Valley Community Foundation. I am also a board member for the Foundation for Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for the people and families within our community.
What is the best advice you received?
I have been fortunate to have many people that have influenced my life and given me great advice through the years. Their words of wisdom have guided me to live each day realizing that it is never as good or as bad as it seems. I take things day by day and I always remain focused, balanced and humble.
