Manchester-based Pursuit Aerospace said it has acquired a Canadian company that specializes in the machining of flight-safety-critical aeroengine components.
Pursuit announced it has purchased Quebec-based Leesta Industries, which does business with several original equipment manufacturers, including Pratt & Whitney, on both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been in business since 1964.
Pursuit says the acquisition expands its aeroengine machining and fabrication capabilities, and provides additional expertise in advanced manufacturing, automation and technology-driven production.
Formed by the 2023 merger of Whitcraft Group and Paradigm Precision, Pursuit is a manufacturer of components used in commercial and military aircraft engines. It is owned by private equity firms Greenbriar and CD&R.
It now has 18 operation centers in seven U.S. states and four countries. The company says Leesta represents its fifth acquisition since its founding.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
